NOTIFICATIONCERTIFICATE EXAMINATION IN LIBRARY SCIENCE - MARCH - 2018
The certificate course examination in Library /science for the 35th batch in Public Library, Thiruvananthapuram will commence on 24.03.2017 in accordance with the time table given below. As per the GO (MS) 175/2010/HEdn dated 21/07/2010, new subject on Information Technology for 100 marks as Paper VI was introduced. As such total marks in the examination will be 500.
The centre of examination will be the State Central Library, Thiruvananthapuram and the State Librarian will be the Chief Superintendent for the examination.
Candidates who have satisfactory completed the prescribed course of study at State Library and the candidates who appeared for the above examination during previous years, conducted by the board, but failed in the examination are eligible to appear for the examination.
The details of subjects, score, time and marks required for promotion are as follows.
Candidates should attain 35% mark in each paper to pass the examination.
Regular candidates who have not secured the required minimum percentage of
attendance (85%) are not eligible for writing the examination.
The fee for admission to the examination is as follows.
1. Fee for whole subjects - Rs.40/-
2. Fee for one subject - Rs.10/-
3. Fee for two or more subjects - Rs.20/-
4. Fee for the Mark list - Rs.40/-
The examination fee can be remitted in any government treasury of Kerala State under the head of account 0202-01-102-99 Examination fee. The original Chalan receipt will alone be accepted as proof of remittance of fee for the examination. Fee for the examination should not be sent to this office in cash, cheque, postal orders or in any other forms. Examination fee once remitted will not be refunded or allowed to be adjusted towards any subsequent examinations.
The fee for mark list Rs. 40/- (Rs. Forty only) should be remitted under the head of account “0202-01-102-92 Other Receipts” and submitted along with application for examination.
For regular candidates, the Sate Librarian will collect the prescribed fee from the candidates and remit the amount in treasury before the last date prescribed and should furnish original chalan receipt along with the list of candidates.
Private candidates appearing for the examination should remit the fee in the name of candidate himself/herself and submit the application in the prescribed form appended with the notification to the State Librarian, State Central Library, Thiruvananthapuram before the last date fixed for remittance of fee.
